Wouldn’t it be the world if your heart could be numb? Well, its my world. My only world that I have yet to see. I may say “I love you” but shallow words make up our nation’s existence. Without shallow words, we wouldn’t meet the people we meet. I say these three words but they mean shit. They mean nothing. My heart is filled with landmines that people must avoid, and usually they don’t succeed. But beyond the landmines, there are bombs, barbed wire, booby traps and tears. I can’t let my heart be vulnerable, because I’ll be weak. I can’t be weak. I can’t sit here and let people step all over my heart. It’s happened before and I’m prepared to make a brand new start. But I can’t. I can’t change because change ruins shallow words. Change kills us..
